Surface must be clean, dry, primed, in good condition, and it must be deemed paintable by the manufacturer.

Apply only when air and surface temperatures are above 50°F (10°C). DO NOT THIN. STIR THOROUGHLY (DO NOT SHAKE) before and during use. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours. Avoid applying in direct sunlight. Test ZAR^® Platinum Pro Translucent Urethane Finish on an inconspicuous area to determine final color.

ZAR^® Platinum Pro Translucent Urethane Finish is formulated for one coat application. If a darker color is desired, apply a second coat, making sure to evaluate tests on the substrate to ensure the finish and color development are acceptable.

For best results, we recommend airless spray application using a Graco^® Fine Finish Tip .010″-.014″. Pressure should be 2400 PSI achieving 5 – 7 wet-film-thickness (WFT).

On lap siding, start at the top on several boards and apply continuously using an east to west motion across to a break at a door, window, or corner. Be sure to maintain a wet edge. On panels, use a north to south spray motion. After spraying, the coating should be dry brushed or back rolled if necessary, for color uniformity.

The finish is not prone to sag, however, if you should see any evidence of this, immediately feather it out into the surrounding area with a clean, soft paintbrush.

Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container and unused contents in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

NON-POROUS PRE-PRIMED SURFACES
UNITED GILSONITE LABORATORIES (UGL^®) WARRANTS ZAR^® Platinum Pro Translucent Urethane Finish to the original product owner for a non-transferable period of fifteen (15) years from the date of purchase when applied to properly prepared non-porous pre-primed surfaces from peeling, flaking and chipping; five (5) year fade warranty when applied to properly prepared non-porous pre-primed surfaces. With proper care when subject to usual weather conditions, the finish is warranted not to:

• Discolor due to chalking
• Discolor due to yellowing
• Discolor due to excessive fade

15 Year Warranty

• Peel or blister
• Erode and expose the substrate

The one-time surface recoating must occur within the Limited Warranty period based on the date of purchase and only if the ZAR^® Platinum Pro Translucent Urethane Finish has been properly stored, installed and handled by the applicator according to label directions and under normal conditions and exposure. The warranty does not cover defects caused by acts of God, such as: tornado, hail, hurricane, earthquake, flood, lightening, fire, damage caused by foreign objects, any abuse or misuse, improper handling during storage and transportation, improper installation or damage caused by being installed. This warranty does not cover cracking, peeling or blistering resulting from: the product becoming wet prior to application, moisture exposure to the uncoated surface of the product after application, improper ventilation, expansion and contraction, breakdown of the underlying substrate, surface deterioration due to pollution, abrasion, salt exposure, misuse, vandalism, mildew accumulation, or any introduction of moisture into the product prior to and during application of the product. THIS WARRANTY IS FOR THE ZAR^® PLATINUM PRO TRANSLUCENT URETHANE FINISH COATING ONLY AND APPLIES ONLY IF THE COATED PRODUCT IS USED FOR THE SPECIFIED PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. UGL MAKES NO WARRANTY AS TO THE COATED PRODUCT ITSELF, PURCHASER’S SOLE RECOURSE THEREON BEING WITH THE MANUFACTURER/RETAILER. THE LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. UGL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE ZAR PLATINUM PRO TRANSLUCENT URETHANE FINISH WILL MEET THE PURCHASER’S SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS. UGL’S LIABILITY IS LIMITED SOLELY TO REPLACEMENT COATING ONLY THAT IS FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE AND AFTER THE FIRST FIFTEEN (15) YEARS ON NON-POROUS PREPRIMED UGL SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR LABOR OR MATERIALS FOR APPLICATIONS OF ANY REPLACEMENT COATING. UGL’S LIABILITY IS LIMITED SOLELY TO THE AMOUNT OF TRANSLUCENT URETHANE FINISH. NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED. TO THE EXTENT ANY LIMITATIONS UNDER THIS WARRANTY ARE COVERED UNDER APPLICABLE CONSUMER PRODUCT WARRANTY LAWS, AND CANNOT BE LAWFULLY DISCLAIMED OR LIMITED, THEY ARE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY SUCH LAWS. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE LIABILITY OF UGL AND IS ISSUED AND ACCEPTED IN LIEU OF ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS AND LOST BUSINESS AND ANY THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS) AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER ARISING UNDER TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), CONTRACT OR OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
